Big Cartel’s target audience is creators, artists, etc. Their goal is to provide an easy and highly unique online storefront. This is fine and dandy but you can also do the very same things with Shopify. You should also keep in mind that if or when your online store starts booming and you start to get more demand you won’t have as many features available to you on Big Cartel that you would on Shopify to maximize your revenue and retain your customers.
